Forget the Words

As I was reviewing old demos for material to record on my next project, I came across a number of instrumental recordings that I felt were finished enough the way I found them. These have become the EP album Forget the Words.

Forget the Words

• Dances for Piano- a piece for solo piano in two parts.
• Traveler- little did I know, at the time that this was recorded, that I was exploring extended tones in the melody.
• Haciendolo en la Brisa- 1987 studio recording, instrumental metal. Special thanks to Alan Emery on guitar, Rich Dunham on drums, and Caerwyn Madsen for vocals.
• Cathedral- a piece for solo Oberheim Matrix 1000. Some new age influences surface here.
• Thus Decreed His Majesty- what started as an experiment turned into a nice little prog rock piece.
• Elegy for a Lamb- another piece in the tradition of radical re-interpretation of a well-known tune.
